Here are some questions frequently asked of Caring Solutions, LLC.

What’s the Difference between Non-Medical Home Care and Home Health?

  • Non-medical Home Care Agencies provide services that do not require a physician's order and are not paid by Medicare or medical insurance. Typically, non-medical home care agencies provide assistance with activities of daily living and independent activities of daily living.
  • Home Health Agencies provide services from licensed medical personnel such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc. These services usually require a physician's order and are usually paid by Medicare or other medical insurance.

Couldn’t I Hire a Caregiver for Less Money?

Caregivers can either work as an employee of a home care agency (such as Caring Solutions, LLC), work as independent contractors through a home care registry, or work on their own as an independent contractors. Many consumers do not understand the risks  they or their loved one can be exposed to by hiring an Independent Contractor or a “registry” who places Independent Contractors.  Staff Caregivers vs. Independent Contractors

How Do I Find A Non-Medical Home Care Agency?

What are your rates?

Our rates depend on level of care (companionship, homemaker, or personal care) and the amount of time per visit. The rate is determined during the free home consultation. There are special rates for sleep overnights, visits that are less than 2 hours, and 24 hour services.

Can you give medication?

Since we provide non-medical home care, we can not perform any services that require a doctor's orders. We can remind someone to take their medication if they are setup in daily reminder containers.  Setup is usually completed by family, friends or a nurse.
