Melanie Keech, President/CEO

Melanie moved to Fort Collins in 1989 to help open Mountain Crest Hospital. She moved from Nebraska where she had worked in hospitals for 10 years as Director of Health Information Management and as a Quality Assurance Manager. While in Fort Collins, Melanie completed her masters in Human Resource Development from CSU and started working as a Program Evaluator for Federally Funded Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities. Her main project was assisting the Kickapoo Indians open an inhalant abuse treatment facility.

Melanie then took her passion for holistic medicine and became certified as a nutritionist, herbalist, and health coach. She worked for the McKee Center for Holistic Medicine, a department of McKee Hospital. While working at the clinic, she consulted with several individuals who were suffering from stress related health conditions as a result of being a primary caregiver for their spouse, parent, or child. It was at this point she knew what her life’s mission was – to provide assistance for those needing help and for their caregivers. As a result, she started Home Helpers in 2005. While operating Home Helpers, she completed the Certified Nursing Assistant Program and became a Certified Senior Advisor.

Lynn Malisani, Director of Community Relations

Lynn is almost a native, having moved from Michigan to Fort Collins over 25 years ago.  She has a teaching degree, yet has spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry and pharmaceutical sales.  She has always enjoyed helping people live longer, healthier and happier lives.  Recently, Lynn was lucky enough to join the wonderful team at Caring Solutions, LLC.  As Director of Community Relations, she looks forward to promoting the unique, broad spectrum of personal care that allows individuals and couples to remain in the comfort of their homes. Lynn has 2 young, adult children who live in Colorado.  In her free time she enjoys doing anything that has to do with the mountains and sports!

Tina Tapply, Program Manager, Incontinent Solutions

Tina started working for Columbine Health Systems in l996. Early in her professional career she was the executive director of a non-profit health organization. Later she became the Administrator of a Medicare certified home health agency. That led to an invitation to join Columbine as Administrator of New Mercer Commons Assisted Living Facility. She “semi-retired” in 2006, but continued to work for Columbine doing community outreach on a part time basis. When Columbine merged with Caring Solutions, Tina was delighted to be offered a position with the newest company. She is the program manager for Incontinent Solutions. Tina appreciates being able to continue helping older adults with these often difficult life challenges. She enjoys tennis and golf, gardening, traveling and playing with her three grandchildren.

Deb Murr, Moving Solutions & Home
Maintenance Program Manager

Deb has lived in Colorado her entire life, growing up in Greeley and living in Loveland or Fort Collins as an adult. After working several years in electronics manufacturing and raising 2 children, she decided to make a career change and found working with seniors and their families to be very rewarding.

VJ Berg, Client Services Manager

VJ was born and raised in Colorado, Rocky Ford to be precise.  VJ’s road to Caring Solutions has been an “eclectic path”.  She has been in the medical field for 30+ years, working as an emergency and O.R. nurse, CNA, Candy Striping - back in the days!  She took a break from nursing and decided to become a “travel consultant” and of course enjoyed the traveling came along with that.  VJ has moved several times due to her husband’s work, but with 3 sons and 5 grandchildren living in Colorado, they decided to move back to Colorado in 2004.  VJ took a position as Intake Director for a Home Health Care company for the past 6 years, to familiarize herself with Colorado again.  She is looking forward to her next adventure with Caring Solutions, LLC as her career path moves forward.

Cassie Gipson, Field Supervisor

Cassie Gipson joined Caring Solutions LLC in 2011 when she and her family moved to Northern Colorado from Smithville, Missouri.  Cassie’s role with Caring Solutions is to provide supervision, scheduling and development of the personal care assistants.  She partners closely with the Client Services Manager in optimizing client-caregiver assignments and ensuring high quality care delivery.  Her professional background includes prior experience in the healthcare field as a CNA, Med Aid and Pharmacy Tech.  She has worked in the hospital, assisted living and home health care settings.  Cassie was drawn to Caring Solutions with the opportunity to hone her skills and experience in the home care field.  Her longer term career goal is to become a registered nurse.  Cassie and her husband Yano are the proud parents of six children and one black lab.  In her spare time (what little there is!), Cassie enjoys the outdoors, fishing, gardening and cooking.

Kathy Krout, Home Monitoring Supervisor

Kathy has worked more than 25 years with the elderly and people with special needs. Kathy enjoys her role as Field Supervisor, visiting clients in their homes and hearing their stories and praises of their wonderful caregivers. Kathy feels a great sense of fulfillment in working with a staff that has the same common interests - maintaining a better quality of life for others.

Louise Brandt, Office Assistant

Louise was born in a small town in Nebraska and spent most of her years living in Wyoming, Nebraska & now for the second time, back in Colorado. It has been great being near the mountains again. Over her adult life, she has worked in customer service for Safeway stores in both Colorado & Nebraska, and then went to work in customer service in the International Sales department with a Nebraska company. After finding she didn't want to stay retired, Louise now enjoys being a part-time office assistant with Caring Solutions, LLC. The rest of her time is spent with family, making quilts, doing crafts, walking her little dog and of course going to the mountains often. Life is so good.

Our Caregivers

Pre-selection of all staff is done using the Caregiver Quality Assurance program. We hire those individuals who have strong work ethics, high integrity, and key identified personality traits that show a compassionate and caring nature.

Then we train all of our caregivers to assure our clients that they are getting the best person possible to meet their identified needs. Prior to ever seeing one of our clients, all direct care staff are trained in personal care in our “state of the art” lab by registered nurses.

While on the job, we use matching/scheduling software to make the best fit for our clients, and then telephony to assure that hours of service are invoiced correctly, or to alert us to any potential issue with coverage before it even becomes an issue.
